There’s nothing I love more than a wedding by the mountainside at The Starting Gate at GreatHorse! The facility is adorned with the finest stone and cedar and offers some of the best views of the mountainous area. You can start your wedding day by getting ready at the regal Wedding Suite. The design features lovely white and gold accents on the vanities, modern linen couches, and an elaborate three-panel mirror. You’ll also get an amazing view of the wedding garden, which is the ceremonial space.
One of my favorite parts of The Starting Gate at GreatHorse are the sunset deck and the wedding garden. The ceremony is frequently takes place in the garden due to the distinctive Adirondack gazebo tucked away among the mountain scenery. You and your loved one can say your “I do’s” on the perfectly manicured lawn, accompanied by the sound of the trickling waterfall. The Sunset Deck, however, is a completely different story! The 3000-square-foot hardwood terrace is the perfect place for you and your loved ones to congregate. Enjoy the cocktail hour while taking in the spectacular view of the Connecticut River Valley!
Dinner at GreatHorse is served in one of the two reception rooms which can be combined for bigger celebrations. While Reception Room B is cozy and perfect for smaller groups, Room A is one of the most beautiful interior designs I’ve ever seen! The Swarovski chandelier’s radiance on the copper ceiling and the grand fireplace creates an elegant feel that nobody can resist.
Finally, The Starting Gate has some of the best catering packages that the venue’s expert event planners carefully curate. Anything from hors d’oeuvres to custom wedding menus and multiple entrees can be part of your catering. The staff can make it possible even if you have some special ideas! In addition to that, there are both cash and open-bar options for your beverage package. You can even have a small taste of what to expect by having a complimentary sampling experience. Simply put, The Starting Gate will make sure to fulfill all of your needs!
